Coach Scully
Founder & Lead Multidiscipline Coach, Paddle360 DB Elite Teams, Programming & Development
Coach Scully is the founder of Paddle360 and one of Canada’s most experienced paddling coaches and athletes, with over 40 years in sprint kayaking, dragon boat, and outrigger canoe. Beginning as a sprint kayaker and progressing to international competition, he has represented Canada and earned multiple medals at World Championship and international events. His decades of high performance experience shape a coaching style grounded in technical mastery, consistency, and structured long term progression.
He founded Paddle360 to strengthen the areas he saw the paddling community lacking and to help unify the sport. His vision is centred on breaking down barriers between dragon boat and outrigger, between clubs, and between different levels of experience. He has coached hundreds of athletes, from junior development paddlers to senior and masters competitors preparing for national and international competition, while also supporting paddling infrastructure through Paddle360’s sponsorship and equipment support of the Dragon Boat BC Chinatown Hub.
